Spectrum Marine and Oil Services Limited which is the flagship company of the Group is a multidimensional service organization in the oil and gas industry focusing on not just marine but a wide range of services. The marine industry has to do with large-scale movement of materials, equipment and human resources within the marine environment. Thus, the oil industry, in particular the upstream sector places very high demand on the marine industry for logistic support, human resource movement, accommodation, transportation of goods, drilling equipment, materials etc. This is more so as the upstream oil sector in Nigeria operates mainly off-shore or on-shore and within the riverine areas of this country. Consequently, the Marine Business is at the core of logistics operations for the oil industry because it involves the movement of materials, equipment and human resources as well as the provision of ancilliary platforms at locations. The demand for marine services derives directly from the aggregate activities in the oil industry, be it prospecting or production activities. The clientele base is high such as Shell, Mobil, Chevron, Agip, Elf, Texaco and a host of other Oil Service companies.
In addition to marine and Transportation facilities, Spectrum Marine and Oil Services Limited also engage in several other core areas in the oil and gas industry viz:
MAJOR CONSTRUCTION: Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) – Installation and Upgrade of Onshore and Offshore Production Facilities and Platforms, Process Facilities, Mechanical Engineering and Civil Engineering.
WASTE MANAGEMENT SERVICES – Tank Cleaning, Water based Mud Handling
HEAVY DUTY EQUIPMENT SUPPLY – Christmas Trees, OCTG/Pipes, ShaleShakers, Compressors etc.
EQUIPMENT/MATERIAL SUPPLY SERVICES – Supply of pipes fittings, Valves, Flanges, Nozzles, Seals, Rings, Bolts, Nuts, Communication Equipment, Laboratory Equipment Supply, and Similar devices.
EQUIPMENT SUPPLY SERVICES – Supply of Personal Protection Equipment (PPE), Office and Household Appliances.
ONSHORE ENVIRONMENTAL SERVICES – Office and Domestic Waste Management (Non-Hazardous), Office Fumigation and Sanitation, Environmental Assessment/Studies (EIA, EER, EAR, PIA) such as safety, health and environment consultancy as well as Safety and Environmental (R & D) Services, Sewage Evacuation and Disposal.
CONSULTANCY SERVICES – Nigerian/Expatriate Manpower Supply, Training/Manpower Development, Engineering Services (0 – 50,000 Man-hours).
EQUIPMENT/MATERIAL SUPPLY SERVICES – Supply of Chemicals (General Purpose and Analar Grade) e.g industrial gases, additive & inhibitors, laboratory chemicals, filters, airfilters, Safety Equipment (PPE) etc.
AUTOMOBILE SERVICES – Sales and Maintenance of cars/vehicles (without show room).
ON-SHORE PIPELINE/ STORAGE FACILITY MAINTENANCE SERVICES: Pipeline/Storage Facility Maintenance, Non-Destructive Testing (NDT), Corrosion Prevention and Control Services (Cathodic Protection & Coating), Pipeline Pigging and Inspection, Pipeline Maintenance.
INTEGRITY TEST: Pressure Testing/Leak Detection of vessels/pipelines, surface and underground oil and gas storage tanks.
HOSPITALITY: Lodging/boarding (0 – 25 rooms), Onshore Catering and other related services.
DRILLING/PRODUCTION – Hoisting, Supply and Operation of Drilling Rigs, Mudd logging. Drilling Support Services such as Well logging, Wireline Services, Logging While Drilling (LWD)/Measurement While Drilling (MWD), Well Testing, Drill Stem Services.
